The Procrastinator’s Creed : 14 Critical Mistakes Most Marketers Make While Chasing Their Goals And Dreams

People who begin in this industry don’t realize that they need to treat there business as an actual business. It is not a lottery and I think that a lot of people fail even before they begin because they just don’t have The Right Mindset.

Who said that success is given, did you really think that you could become successful by seeing your business as a hobby. You got the be kidding me right!

So, before you go read the 14 critical mistakes down below I want to tell you this first: Do not be surprised if you found yourself doing one or two things listed below. It all comes down to having the right mindset and especially keeping a certain momentum going.

Go ahead and read My Cutting Edge Insider Series – Lesson #1 “You Need To Acquire The Right Mindset!” To learn all about having the right mindset.

Know that it doesn’t has to be something that you do consciously. What often happens is that he action itself sinks down to your subconscious mind and your doing it on auto-pilot without thinking about it.

Now I want you to go and read the next 14 lines. I hope these examples will make you aware of the most common mistakes most individuals make.

1. I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.

2. I shall never move quickly, except to avoid more work or find excuses.

3. I will never rush into a job without a lifetime of consideration.

4. I shall meet all of my deadlines directly in proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to receive from missing them.

5. I firmly believe that tomorrow holds the possibility for new technologies, astounding discoveries, and a reprieve from my obligations.

6. I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.

7. I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesmally small, is not exactly zero.

8. If at first I don’t succeed, there is always next year.

9. I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.

10. I shall always begin, start, initiate, take the first step, and/or write the first word, when I get around to it.

11. I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.

12. I know that the work cycle is not plan/start/finish, but is wait/plan/plan.

13. I will never put off until tomorrow, what I can forget about forever.

14. I will become a member of the ancient Order of Two-Headed Turtles (the Procrastinator’s Society) if they ever get it organized.

Hey Raunek, I thank you for your thoughts on this one. I am happy to see that you found this a motivational blog post. The fact is that Mr. Smith is really reflecting a lot of secret juice in his video but it is just the way of how he talks and the fire he has inside of him.

I hope to see you back more often because I am going to post more of this kind of sizzling content.

Farzad – You are “right on” in this post! I get so tired of people thinking internet marketing is a lottery ticket, as you put it. I never understand why some people think the world owes them something without any work being put into it from them. It looks like you are on the right track my friend – keep up the good work:)

Hey Farzad,

This is really great stuff! Your perspective is SO true, esp. the fact that we all have the ability to create great things and find true happiness… even against the odds! I must say, I did find some relief that the “procrastination test” did not turn out to be my life story! LOL.
Thank you for your insights! It’s is always awesome to find a bright light in this “big unknown jungle”. “There’s no reason to have a Plan ‘B’ because it distracts from Plan ‘A’!
